Renexia and Strada dei Parchi: electrification of the network supporting the new company fleet

At Renexia, we believe that electrifying road connections is a fundamental pillar for building a more sustainable and technologically advanced country. The collaboration with Recharge to bring this vision to life has taken shape along the motorway managed by Strada dei Parchi through an innovative project combining operational efficiency and environmental care.

A sustainable and innovative fleet

The need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote the use of alternative fuels is driving a significant transition in the mobility sector. In line with this vision, Strada dei Parchi has initiated a renewal plan for its corporate fleet on the A24 and A25 motorways, focusing on the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles.

The fleet has undergone a significant evolution:

  • 34 fully electric vehicles
  • 8 mild hybrid cars

This transformation of the vehicle fleet allows SdP to reduce emissions by approximately 52k kg of CO2 annually, without compromising operational efficiency.

Infrastructure for an electric future

To support the transition to electric mobility, the project included the installation of 41 electric charging points strategically distributed along the A24 and A25 networks. These stations, located at Highway Service Centers (C.S.A.) and Facility Hubs, ensure comprehensive coverage for the charging needs of vehicles dedicated to road services.

A Positive environmental impact

The A24 and A25 motorways cross two Italian regions characterized by rich biodiversity, including six national or regional natural parks, such as the Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise National Park—one of Italy’s first entities established to safeguard natural ecosystems.
Through fleet electrification, Renexia and Strada dei Parchi actively contribute to protecting these valuable ecosystems, significantly reducing the environmental impact of highway traffic.

Renexia Recharge looks to the future, firmly believing that efficiency and sustainability are inseparable. The project to electrify road connections along Strada dei Parchi represents a tangible step towards a greener, more innovative, and environmentally respectful mobility system.
