Renexia Recharge and Atlante boost electric mobility in Central Italy

Renexia Recharge, a Toto Group company specializing in the development of sustainable mobility solutions, and Atlante, a European operator in the development and management of fast and ultra-fast charging infrastructure, are expanding the reach of electric mobility along the A24 and A25 highways through a new joint project.

The initiative consolidates the presence of the two companies along one of Central Italy’s main infrastructure corridors, which connects the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic coasts and traverses areas of great environmental value between Lazio and Abruzzo.

20 charging stations already operational at the Civita Sud and Valle Aterno Ovest service areas

The project has led to the installation of 20 fast and ultra-fast charging stations at three strategic service areas along the A24 highway:

  • Civita Sud, just past the border between Lazio and Abruzzo for those coming from Rome
  • Civita Nord, for those traveling in the opposite direction
  • Valle Aterno Ovest, near the main highway exit for L’Aquila

In the coming months, an additional 8 charging stations are scheduled to be activated at another service area on the A25 highway, further expanding coverage along a strategic artery for mobility in Central Italy.

Ultra-fast charging up to 360 kW thanks to energy storage systems

The new stations already support fast charging up to 100 kW. Once the energy storage systems become operational, the infrastructure will be able to reach ultra-fast charging speeds of up to 360 kW, allowing drivers to recharge their vehicles in just a few minutes.

Each site will be equipped with EnergyArk, the proprietary energy storage system developed by Atlante’s parent company, TCC Group Holdings. This technology enables:

  • optimizing energy flows
  • ensuring high standards of operational safety
  • reducing the impact on the power grid
  • improving the performance of charging stations

Riccardo Toto: “A Concrete Step Toward Low-Emission Mobility”

“Renexia Recharge remains committed to expanding the charging network along a road infrastructure that is vital for the country as a whole, for the capital, and for the entire Abruzzo region,” stated Riccardo Toto, General Manager of Renexia.

“With the opening of these two stations and those that will be connected shortly, we aim to actively promote low-emission mobility in a region where major industrial hubs and tourist attractions coexist with landscapes of extraordinary environmental value. All facilities have been designed to grow and expand progressively in line with evolving demand.”

Atlante: High-Performance Infrastructure for EV Drivers

“With the new stations at Civita Sud and Valle Aterno Ovest, we are strengthening a partnership that unites two industrial leaders sharing the same vision: putting EV drivers at the center and making a tangible contribution to the evolution of electric mobility in Italy,” said Gabriele Tuccillo, CEO of Atlante Italy and Switzerland.

“Together with Renexia Recharge, we are bringing high-performance infrastructure to the A24 and A25, designed to offer a simple, fast, and reliable charging experience along a strategic corridor for the country.”
