In this first meeting, we asked Riccardo Toto three questions to understand what the “Renexia model<\/strong>” is all about.<\/p>\n

    WHAT IS MEANT BY THE RENEXIA MODEL?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    When in April 2022 we completed the construction of Beleolico, the first marine wind farm in Italy and the Mediterranean, after a good 14 years of bureaucratic time, we realized that we had not only created a landmark work. We had believed deeply in innovation to create a work practically from scratch, we had adopted a rigorous scientific method to analyze the environment by involving prestigious research institutes, we had listened to the stakeholders in the area, in the institutions, in the work, and from the beginning we had set maximum sustainability as a fundamental goal. We put all these individual aspects inside a single “container” that later became the Renexia model, made up of four elements: innovation (in technologies but also in knowledge), scientific method, sharing and listening, and sustainability.<\/li>\n

    WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR THIS MODEL TODAY?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    For two, related reasons. The first is that renewables are still a world to explore and learn about. Each new work, plant, solution is like the first in a new series each time. In fact, Renexia is considered a pioneer company for this as well. The second reason is related to this: there is so much confusion about renewables, everyone is talking about them, so they attract so much investment, projects, visions. But it is concreteness that is the real test because we have little time to save our Planet and we need to accelerate the energy transition. So the Renexia model can be the formula to move from theory to practice. Maybe tomorrow there will be a new, even more elaborate model, but in the meantime we have shown today that our model can work, in the interest of all.<\/li>\n

    WHY IS THE RENEXIA MODEL SAID TO HAVE REVERSED THE CLASSICAL PARADIGM FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY COMPANIES?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    As I said, the Renexia model is composed of several elements. But first place must always come sustainability. We do not start with the goal of economic profit when we think about a wind farm. We put the environmental impact of the park first, because we want to get as close to zero impact as possible. After we figure out how to maximize sustainability, then we tailor the economics to that goal. That for us is respecting the environment. This is the Renexia model that is dedicated precisely to creating new clean energy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
